    Article 1(a) — Do Not Let the Chase for EMI Destroy Your BMI

    According to a survey, more than fifty percent of city dwellers who purchase a car for personal comfort do so through loans and spend years repaying the EMI. Likewise, salaried individuals buying a house often commit nearly thirty-three percent of their monthly income to home-loan installments.


    In many cases, these EMIs become so overwhelming that half of one’s life is spent merely paying them off. By the time people finally acquire the comforts they longed for—after years of relentless effort—their body and mind are already exhausted.


    Thus emerges an unspoken truth: The EMI on your house and car quietly disturbs the BMI of your body. (BMI – Body Mass Index; this will be discussed in detail in the upcoming chapter.)

    एक सर्वे के मुताबिक अपनी इच्छापूर्ति के लिए शहरों में कार खरीदने वाले पचास फीसदी से ज्यादा लोग लोन लेते हैं और ईएमआई चुकाते हैं जबकि घर खरीदने वाले नौकरीशुदा लोग अपने मासिक वेतन का तैंतीस फीसदी तक ईएमआई चुकाने में लगाते हैं। कई बार ये ईएमआई इतनी ज्यादा हो जाती है कि इसे पूरा करने में आधी जिंदगी खर्च हो जाती है। जी तोड़ मेहनत के बाद जबतक भौतिक सुख-सुविधाएँ मिलती हैं, तब तक शरीर और मन थक चुके होते हैं। घर और कार की EMI शरीर का BMI बिगाड़ देती है। (BMI- Body Mass Index- इस पर विस्तृत चर्चा आगे के अध्याय में) इसलिए अपनी BMI और स्वास्थ्य परिवर्तन (health transformation) के लिए आज ही जरूरी निवेश शुरू करें। साथ ही, व्यक्तिगत प्रशिक्षण (personal training) को ध्यान में रखते हुए, अपने स्वास्थ्य को बेहतर बनाएं।
